5. The generator "comes on line" - is connected to the bus - if a frequency sensor determines that the current has f>329 cps. It drops off line - the bus contactor opens (& in doing so, lights the c/w light) - if under/over voltage or under/over frequency conditions are detected, or if the bus fails. Note that if the bus fails, the system does not allow either the transfer relay to close (that would shut down the other generator, since the fault is on the bus) or a generator reset.

6. AC vs DC instruments:

     AC - EGT DC - flap position
          fuel flow          nozzle position
          fuel quantity      turn needle
          oxy quantity
          hydraulics

7. Interior lights: dim = AC powered } C&W
                 bright = DC powered }
   instrument & console - AC only
             floodlight - AC; emergency DC if not OFF

8. T.O. trim requires AC - it drives the hydraulic actuators that drive the stablizer
