Dear Sid!
You will not think we are going into the plumbing busi-ness, I trust, even if I do use this paper. It is all I can find at the moment.

This morning I received my last payment from the bureau of Entomology. I don't know how they even figured it out but they sent on $27.98 to me, and I am going to pay the doctor out of it.

I also got a letter from Hubbard saying they or Mr.Arnes was very favorably inclined, and I could start in work anytime I wanted with him at 40ยข an hour, and work half time or just as I chose, which I think is very nice, don't you? I am going to start in Monday morning. Perhaps I shall be able to pay running expenses and have a good time in the bargain being at home. I am going to work mornings, from 9 till 1.

This noon your mother called up to say you had some mail, - I think she really wanted to talk to me, so I went down a little while. All it was was a receipt from Miss Winslow and a few notices. Your mother was in the midst of getting the dinner. She told me that your father was working at Sevan's for the day.
