4 o'clock I was awakened by a jar, but hearing no more went back to sleep. Pa had rolled over quickly, falling out of bed. Mr. Cobb lifted him bodily in, and he scarcely knew he fell altho he sat up. Towards 6 Mr. Cobb felt he was sinking fast, and said when I came in that he thought he was unconscious. But, after I had taken my place to let Cobb go to breakfast, Pa got up & walked over to the radiator and when Cobb returned he was eating oatmeal! Cobb said, "Don't it beat the Dutch!" He has wanted his clothes on all the forenoon & with difficulty Ma has kept his nightshirt on. I think he is growing weaker, but like Dr. Ewing, I don't know. His cough isn't so bad today either.

I shall have to stay here at least till Mrs. O. returns, and perhaps by then, I can tell more about Pa. I don't believe I shall get back Monday night at this rate. My mother tells me to go and not bother to come up again, but I can't think of her being here alone thru it all. But you needn't come anyhow.

Now I must run along & mail this so you can get it by Sat A.M.

Doris.
