Dear Sid:

Your card came yesterday. glad you will have Sats. It seems wonderful, unbelievable! I took the card over to read to maud. Bertha was there. She said if I couldn't get anyone to drive me [[?]] she would come up! But I guess we can. Doris and I are going to Cambridge today, we have had 2 or 3 very hot days and nights. Hope you aren't suffering. Yesterday we scrubbed the kitchen all the forenoon. I mean to paint a couple of chains to brighten it up. The grapes are beginning to turn but they may not be ripe enough before we leave. Our cat goes up on the roof nearly every day now. Doris went to the movies night before last & [[?]] didn't get home till 10.30 and my mother went thru her usual nightless sleep, she said. Guess D. won't go again. I finished my painting of the Wentworth [[?]] House. May do another before I leave.

Doris
