Dear Sid:
     Doris mailed your package this
morning, insured it into the bargain.
We have been taking the rest of the boards
into the barn and clearing up the storehouse. This afternoon Doris has gone
swimming with Norma. Lena stayed
over night, not leaving till this
forenoon. I gathered the last 2
little pear trees and put them away
to ripen before we leave. The old
cat has been up on top of the piazza[?]
again today & came down after some
meowing at me for help quite
nicely by himself. Am going on
to call on Maud - Lenn & Doris
went yesterday-and help Mom[?]
clear out her rose bushes out front.
We are having the chicken
stewed up in the gravy. Wish you
were here to have some. I hope you
can get something to eat.
Doris
