Norma Laney. She is an impetuous 
good hearted young woman in her 
late 20's with 3 little girls & a husband who is just about to land from overseas. She asks Doris over there and Doris has been going every day perfectly delighted at having a place to visit. She is said to have a nice soprano voice and Doris & she spent some time singing last evening. Doris wore the dress we have just finished making. It is a family dress, - one we can both wear. Ma helped, Doris and I did our share and the result quite nice.

We all went over to see Maud a few minutes last evening. On the way out the nurse said she is clearing up better the last, 2 or 3 days, not having such disturbed nights and her mind is clearer. The nurse said she thought as she showed mental improvement the physical
would be more too. Maud was very anxious we see the boys. She has said the last 2 times I have been there that she wished "Grandma Blake" were here, she missed her so much, and then she would break 
down and cry.
     
We are going to have a feast
today, - a lamb roast, potatoes
carrots, and cabbage salad, and 
gelatine pudding. Mrs. B has 
been fussing over it all the forenoon. She is leaving 
tomorrow afternoon, - to spend
a few days about Boston, then
