Dear Sid:

We are still having cloudy muggy days. Doris + I are dressmaking as well as cutting grass, trees, etc. She has been going about on her byke [[bike]] with one of the young women of the choir. Mrs. Colcord telephoned that they think now Mabel hasn't rheumatic fever but infectious arthritis and they are giving her sulpha drugs to which she is responding well. They hope she can come home in a fortnight. Mrs. B. goes next week. She was in Brooklyn yesterday & got meat, and meanwhile I got lamb downstairs, we have 5 lbs of meat on hand and a poor old ice chest! Hope you are getting good meals.

Doris -
