The old cat got 2 suppers tonight, - Ma had already fed him when I came home, but as he hung about, I never suspected and dealt out the liver and a dash of milk. He didn't object at all.

It so dark I can't see much now. The girls are coming in. Mabel brought us a sack of green apples, which will do for sauce.

I am glad you are having enough to eat - or hope you are. Have you made ice cream again? Our tomatoes up here are beginning to blosom  in numbers and set but I fear they won't be ripe before frost. My mother fondly hopes they will be ripe when Sidney comes.
