pleasant tomorrow, just for a change, and to get a bit of salt water air myself. You will go this week with Richard down to the beach, won't you? I hope you can stay one night and have a good time.

We have cut down our skirt of trees this morning early. I am trying to get those along the side of the lot near where the apple trees were planted all cut. We have done over half and most of the rest are small trees, not so difficult to do. We use the big saw and that is fairly easy. Then we drag them home. Already we have let in a lot of sunlight.

The old cat sprawled out on the bay window seat. He feels the heat, and doesn't do much besides sleep & eat, but he wakens in every morning scratching at the door. It infuriates Doris who has wanted to lock him down cellar. I hate to, as the cellar must be very uncomfortable for the old cat.

I enclose a Stoughton - Canton J ticket for you.

I hope you aren't working too hard today and it is cooler. You must have had some sizzling days this week.

Doris.
