Dear Sid:
I didn't get a chance to write yesterday as Doris and I went to Cambridge in the A.M. I took her to Radcliffe & had a chat with the Dean over her requirements. Everything is O.K. She will take her exams next April. I spent the rest of the AM at the M.C.Z. lunching with Miss Bryant. After that we went to Filene's clearance sale and D. spent 2 1/2 hours trying on dresses and finally came off without any. We were both utterly worn out, - crowds of folks, etc. It was hot too. We came straight home and were exhausted for the evening. I got a little seersucker also some underwear for Ma who was destitute.
It is muggy & hot today. Old cat is nodding in the Bay window. D. likes the idea of a muzzle, but cat wouldn't! D wants to go swimming today. I shall continue on the attic. Ma is admiring her tomatoes, - they have 6 little marbles now!
Doris.
