Stoughton, Mass,
Thurs. 29 July 1943

Dear Sid,
I have just received your letter about going to Minn. and am very glad that you can go, as I think you need a change. Wish you could stay longer, in fact for your own sake. It makes me feel not so bad to be away now, as you will have a chance for a little trip, too.

Would you send me a check for a little money, as I am down to $25, having spent considerable on stuff to eat and put in storage for the winter, and bought a couple of dresses. Doris has $20, but I don't want to take hers unless I have to.

How about the tomatoes, could you ask Bobbi's mother to preserve them if they are ripe? I don't expect many are yet, though.
