It has been a sultry rather cloudy Sunday. Doris & Mabel went to church (Episcopal) this afternoon, and to the movies this afternoon. They were off swimming yesterday afternoon, so I guess this day more or less in door will not matter.
The bulletin has come over the radio that Mussolini has resigned, thank the Lord, maybe Italy will make peace now.
I have been listening to the music on the Sunday afternoon programs all the afternoon and painting. I am trying to touch up our portraits. I wish you were here so I could do more to yours, at present I have to be content with the background.
