Stoughton.

Dear Sid:

I've run out of envelopes, so am using your method. Cooler here and the cat is lively again,- he has been on the piazza roof and outdoors all day. I have put new screening in one of porch windows and cut down a lot of trees out back. Doris is over at Mabels with her knitting this afternoon. She is still lamenting shoes, and swears she won't have another pair of oxfords. We shall have a time getting her to have proper footwear from now on, but I won't have her ruining her feet. If you are going to have red coupons left send them up to me and I'll get butter & bacon. We are short on both. Don't forget now if you have over your capacity use up your blue ones.
How are the tomatoes?

Doris.
