Dear Sid:

It has turned hot here again and we all feel lazy. The old cat has slept all the forenoon in the bay window. He seems to be enjoying life here. Doris got a lot of haddock heads and trimmings yesterday that I stewed up. He even got up on the table to inspect them (I was using the electric grill) and I hope burnt his greedy nose. This morning he began digging at the back door to the porch at light. And Ma getting up before I did let him out by another door. He rushed around to my screen door and jumped up on it as he does on
