But very few people are buying property today. Guess they are waiting for prices to go up. The one good thing about it is that the mortgage is all paid but taxes have to be paid until we can sell it.

Friday A.M. 
[5 DEC  1930]

Dear Sidney-

Well, Thanksgiving is over and it wont be long now until Christmas and then the wedding.  Tuesday Maude Henry and I went to Boston and we got Henrys outfit for the wedding. He is to be best man and so must be dolled up for the occasion. Yesterday Maude and Henry drove to Nantucket so that the electric meter could be read and the power shut off for the season. The air is chilly this morning and yesterday was gray and dull and chilly and I think a snow storm is about due.
