Lieut:

In reply to yours of the 24th, I [[hein?]] to state that Nancy Ann Walden's declaration for Pension has been duly filed, and all the evidence required by law put in except proof of her marriage to the soldier on whose account she makes claim. An affadavit to the fact of marriage- no real evidence being obtainable- was performed by me and placed in her hand for execution some months ago. - When she said this to me, I can process a [[?]] of her Pension Certificate.

Respectfully Yrs,
C. H. Foster
Att'y at Law.
