Dear Johnny,
I so often leave my letter writing till Sunday and from being busy that Sunday till the next Sunday that shame at least this time makes me answer your letter right away that came to day. I am glad everything is going so well with you and think with much pleasure on the visit you promise to soon make us. Wagner has not turned up yet so I suppose he is still in Chicago, or at least that he is not in Philadelphia. Fromuth came to see me a short time ago.
Miss Hurlbut's trunk is staying at our house. She came to our house Christmas & staid three days and then went to New York taking a hand satchel only with her expecting to return in a couple of days. She is not back yet though we hear from her either directly
