beastly dreams since I left L. Both about you. They make me blue when I think of them. One was that I called on you Christmas and you would'nt see me and when I asked why they said you did'nt want to have any thing to do with me. The other was worse. Now how are those for cheerfull things for a fellow to conjure up when he is asleep. By the way do you ever [[strikethrough]] bester [[/strikethrough]] talk in your sleep now? Is that impertinanat? Forgive me, if it is. I wonder if you ever say "Wait a minute now." I guess not. Brother L. has you fast asleep in 3 dining room chairs. Two for his feet and hands and one for himself. I wonder what the people think of us. These d duchmen stare at you as they would at so many wild animals. All you can do is to stare back. You should see us tramping about the streets galking into the shop windows and up at the buildings. I hardly wonder they

stare. I hate the way they eat they use the knife like a shovel or as we say they are sword swallowers. Then they pick their teeth at table and tilt back in their chairs and talk down their throats and to cap the climax, stare at yours truly and mate. Here is the way we look. [[image - sketch of two men wearing overcoats and hats]] Dont you think that is a fine looking pair of birds. I suppose I will have to stop soon as my ideas are getting short and so is the paper. Give my love to all the folks and keep lots for yourself. Oh, by the way how is Miss Freeman? I have'nt heard about her lately. Is she still in the land of the living? Do you ever go over to the house? If so how is mother She wrote last time that you and Harry were there for a few minutes. Dont get sick and dont work too hard. How is the cook? Does she also get drunk.

With heaps of love as ever.
Ned.
