arranged all the stuff over differently in Sewells studio this morn before one we went for the costume. We made quite a stunning thing for a back ground for the figure. 

It is an old oack [[strikethrough]] curf [[/strikethrough]] carved bureau about 5 ft. high and on top we have a lot of stuff, a mandolin, a steel helmet. some blue jars, a gold colored glass vase and a lot of other stuff, books &c. Then for a background we have an old tapestry of stunning green and brown color and a most stunning faded salmon colored peace of silk all embroidered Then we have a nice old carved chair for her to sit [[strikethrough]] itn [[/strikethrough]]  in. The girl is going to be in a sort of pearl colored silk dress. I think it will be pretty bad unless it is painted well: but we hope to to that. 

Al Haynes's uncle has just arrived in Paris. He started a little

while after Al and I did. He took Al out last night to see the town and judging from what Al says I guess they saw some pretty queer places. You know Paris is called the wickedest city in the world and lots of people come here just to see its wickedness. I guess that's what Haynes's uncle is here for. 

Oh! darling I have been trying to think to write in all my my letters that if you can give me the size of your [[strikethrough]] h [[/strikethrough]] gloves, send me an old one or something I will send you some home. Just send an old glove in a paper and I will get it all right. I could get you some stunning silk stockings if you will tell me the size. The lengths of your feet. Wouldn't you like me to send you these things. There is nothing out of the way in my sending
