I am very much distressed to hear that your Mrs. Van Rensselaer has been ill, she ought to try the [[Thrippe?]] treatment for rheumatism & neuralgia, I must tell her about that in Paris.  When we meet, I wonder if she knows of the dermal mesh underdress, I have [[?]] & the Doctors over [[?]] quite enthusiastic over [[?]] 

I hope to be able to persuade all the party [[?]] come out here, if only for [[?]] day, not that there [[?is]] anything to tempt you after the beauties of Lake Lucerne, but simply for my own selfish pleasure, at any rate I will see you in Paris as soon as you are back - I have no news of any kind from home.  I wrote to your father in law, & sent my best wish[[es]] about Katharine, I do sincerely hope she may be happy, no one can accuse [[?]] of making up her [[?mind]] [[?rachly]], she has those [[?]] it well over - Of course [[?]]
