days & I had forgotten how beautiful the spring is here. I put in electricity in the apartment & shall stay in Paris ten years ago - I did not go South until March & was no worse for it Of course the French are not [[pleased?]] with Herriot, nor [[lauer?]] plan, but things had to settle some time. They [[complain?]] & are all for [[stabilizing?]] the Frank but dont know how to do it. Poincare is a lawyer but knows nothing of commerce neither does Herriot Will you & Minnie be over this winter? I hope so. Time passes very quickly & one wants to see ones own before leaving. One has such sad stories I don't think medicine has made much progress & there is far too much surgery - Much love to Minnie & you & to the I hope that Alexander is doing well but real knowledge comes after college. Always your affectionate Aunt Mary -
