Dear Rob
It was indeed a blessed surprise to get your letter sent Nov  I might have had it sooner only you always direct by Fresneaux Montchevreuil look at the heading on this letter. I have written to you and asked everyone if you were in Europe. It is therefore doubly pleasant to know you are so near. I heard nothing from the concierge about your having called. I shall try and be in Paris before the last of this month. at the present moment I am writing the [[ward??]]
