about me - And all of you, and all that I had done, and was going to do, here the passion - schools etc - She wants me to come again on Wednesday at 3, and bring May.  No one else came and we just talked - I stayed until 4.30 -, and I only went then for fear of wearying her. Though she begged me to stay longer - I think she liked me, and I hope she will keep on - But it was a most beautiful - experience and I am so glad May is to know her too - We had the best tea I ever tasted and lots of fine little cakes.

In the evening we went to the Estés. It was the only evening, they could have us and when I accepted I thought it was to be just May and Miss Huistes

and I - but there were some men - Alexandre Harrison! was one of them - Mr Lazar, Miss Huistes & Florence's Uncle, also - I hardly spoke to A. Harrison - Miss Huistes had him all the time, on the other side of the room - but none of us liked him - and we all feel that we have had a blow - He is very tall, - very handsome, and distinguished - dark-hair and grey eyes, and long dark moustache:- And the most cold, blasé, expression. He looks one over as he would a horse - He has evidently two sides - one for art into which all the weight and feeling of his nature flows - The small part that is left, amuses itself coldly -  Such as thinking it a compliment to follow girls in
