My Dearest Polly,

At last we have had our waited for letters, & wept over your terrors & re-joiced in your joy!  What a time of times it was in-deed!  I feel as if I had been there myself, it never seemed I, near.  If only you do not freeze by the way between those dreadful sheets we will be thankful.

I never heard of such an un-civilized place.  Are we alone comfortable?  I felt all for you as you had from first impressions & squeezed one another's hand in ecstasy
