[[left side]] give another soirée on Saturday night and we are going to ask them. Miss M B's dress is done but the woman has'nt [[hasn't]] fitted it very well and I'm never going to be very happy in it. Dont [[Don't]] for the world, however, mention this to Aunt S. Thursday eve. I send you two papers. Galignanis. One has a notice of me. The other some letters about the future of the American Art Student. You ought to see the Composition I made, this afternoon - 'Le Prédicateur' - I hope Henry will say something to it. We were to have gone to the 'Invalides' and Tomb of Napoleon today with Aunt S. & C but gave it up and they came over here. They are coming to our soirée on Saturday night. I am to wear my Miss M.B. dress. [[right side]] The work there is better, beside the splendid work hanging around by the men [[students?]] and the whole spirit of the place. The light too is arranged far better. What a sin it is that it unhealthy. I should love to go there. And it is hard to keep away. Of course I can learn in one place but the work around me is so poor. They are all modelled but have no back.
