Evening. I'll try another pen. I went to the St. Mary's S.S. Anniversary - It was very pleasant - the little boys in their night gowns all walked in singing and all the S.S. followed.  Then I went to see Miss L.

You ought to see how we have fitted up your room for Annie Edwards, who is to come tomorrow. There is a new Turkish rug on the pin cushion and all the covers are so clean. [[?]] more studies are hung and [[?]] old things laid away. I was very much amused at the number of little rolls of [[Dere's?]] roof in the drawers. I have carefully laid one on a clean towel in each drawer, and put the "pee wee" which belongs in the back room over the washstand. There are new white curtains and the lambreckins [[lambrequins]] at the windows - the pillow shapes so beautifully frilled too. It looks like the Garden of Eden.
  
We did not send anything to you by the mid week Steamer this time - as you may have observed - But we mean to continue sending twice a week "until further notice." Uncle Will and Aunt Emily went to Emma's Studio yesterday by appointment. Uncle W. told Emma
