We are all determined to "write to Leiter" tonight- we can't go to church because it is too late and besides - we must attend to Miss Annie who leaves us so soon. Aunt E. is very heavy laden tonight because of an awful cold in her "doze" - causing that member to become twice its natural size, and her peace of mind is in a collapse. She wishes to get well enough to go to New York on Tuesday with Misset & Therese to Scarboro - until Saturday, when she hopes to meet much with the pictures & come home. Isn't it a lovely place? Do you still propose to send for her to meet you in C.c.r? with Miss Taylor? She, in her usual innocent and childlike fashion, thinks you meant it, or that she should "go somewhere" on a spree this summer at your expense?

No doubt they will tell you how the baby's charms increase daily. His walking powers too are getting on too rapidly for his mama's peace of mind.- As this is a newsy letter I must tell how the Van Ingens have bought 4 lots in N.Y.- near the park I think - and will build & move in, a "year from next Fall." - Also, Bessie Biddle announced her engagement to the boy who gave her the dog, today. Nelson Ritter by name - a clerk at Drexels. Not a bad boy, but very young, sans sheckels - not very exciting for the family - None of those girls have made what one would call brilliant alliances - Bessie's perhaps the least distinguished.
Now Jowsee my page is filled. Yet I have said nothing diverting or even tolerably interesting to the aesthetic soul. We are smothered with heat here tonight - Had a very good Jerois concert last night only it was frightfully hot & dusty there.
