   I have also been to drive in the Bois with Mrs Biddle Annie and family, in a big fine carriage which looked quite too private for any [[?]] Tomorrow afternoon I am going to Chesey[[?]] with Aunt Sarah. It is such a shame that the Grandes Eaux at Versailles [[?]] [[?]] on Sunday. We go quite regularly now on Sunday mornings to the American Church in the rue de Brui [[?]] not far from here. And feel more at home now than anywhere else. There is a nice minister Mr. Newell. They had Communion Sunday before last. And I was very glad I was there and indeed enjoy and profit of the 'Santuary' here more than I do at home because it seems a kind of refuge.
   I hope you are all well over the Pink-eye. I can fancy you stepping out on the side porch these warm days, and Grandma sitting there - wish I could see her really - and the baby walking - and my room with the carpet made over and curtains!
