Miss Mr Mrs Biddle,

Miss Clements has just finished for us, a portrait-study of my little niece, Margaret Thouron.

The medium is painted, and the result very artistic and charmingly resemblant.

The child gave her the last of seven or eight poses to-day, the work goes to my Brother's home at Merion, on

Clements has really done good work - a complex & delicate color combination - beautifully framed - a success in everything but the age of the face, which is not really so young as it should be, to be a portrait.

then, so that I may have missed a visit from her, but trust that this is not the case.

Kindly present my regards to Mrs Biddle and to the other Ladies of your household, and wishing for a pleasant summer, believe me
