as my "Kennebunk widows." The Bennerses have a cottage at B.H. this summer on a/c of their father having almost drunk himself to death, & being unable to travel to New England. He is recovering physically, but a wreck mentally, I believe. It was really funny tho', to have so many Kennebunkers come together by chance as it were on the Jersey Coast. Like enough they will write you all about this from B.H. Poor little Cecil had such a pitiful time on Sunday evening, with a whole lot of big back teeth bursting thro'. And we had a most splendid eclipse of the moon ('kelipse' James calls it) beginning at 10.40 P.M, total about midnight, moon full & a cloudless sky, really a wonderful sight, with every condition favorable.
