Friday - & precious little time to write, but I must write you by this mail, Aunt Emily says, because she cannot, & Aunt Eliza is used up by her letters to Aunt Sarah & lots of Xmas people who sent her cards & flowers &c. She (Eliza) is the only one of us at all out of physical equilibrium, but her case is obstinate & nosy enough to do for the rest of us. She had gone over to Dr. Mayo again this month, & she is thinking of another visit to an oculist also, - but is really better, in spite of herself.

The [[strikethrough]] card to [[/strikethrough]] calendar from Emily Lehman came on Xmas day, & we think you had better have 'em. Your friends are very constant; that is usually the fate of fickle folk, however. One of your friends told the ladies at 4305 during an afternoon call quite recently, that he had been lately 'pestering' you with letters.
