I can see that it would be good for me to stay now, if ever. I have made a place for myself now in the interest of these people Julian's, Lasar, and Harrison and they are all ready to help me. Coming back again it would be different and there is no time to lose. Their criticism is invaluable and teaches me something new every time. I should not like to be altogether under Mr Lasar's influence He tells you what to do and the scientific reason almost too much—  Mr Harrison is more comprehensive & far reaching than any of them Bouguereau and Henry not excepted— And has the fine taste that Lasar could'nt have.

If it were not for getting back to Leaud and I believe I should stay until Spring - that is May perhaps— there are plenty of reasons why
