I think it will not be necessary to fix any date, if you do decide to stay on longer.  But how can one fix a time when it will not seem too soon to leave - except when there is no money left.  Yet, there is a great deal to be said against too long an absence.  I am glad I do not have to say what is to be done.  What store of memories you will have to enrich your future - even if you do not travel much more.

I hope that you may go over again with a great freedom and see a great deal more - Venice and Switzerland.  Oh there is no end!  Seems to me, people who travel a great deal ought to be a thousand times more entertaining than they are.  They should be a kind of Stoddart - unrolling scene after scene to a delighted audience or like Kennan who is now publishing his Siberian book in numbers in the "Century".  That will be full of horrors I suppose, further on, but so far we have the beautiful side of Siberia, with only mile forms of the Exile System.
