I suppose I told you that Peel has turned out all right.  I only fear now that he is coming for her too soon.  It will be a bad day for me.  I am getting to depend on her so much.  Harry has been away so much & I so weak & miserable.  I am a little better, & hope soon to be more so.  Emma spent last night with us & I never liked her so much—  Canby was here in eve- & I do not think over much of him.  She is far superior to him.  Poor little Sallie is no better.
