Dec. 14/88 —

Dearest Polly

This is a busy morning at home, & I stop in the very midst of it to write your letter because it is Friday morning & I had'nt done it. The boys write theirs, & so I will only put this in to add a wee bit to them. Cecil & I have been running a race on the porch in the sun — it is very cold & windy & sunny — he was in great glee over the race. He has a new craze just now — it is for my album. I showed him your picture there & he runs to the book & says "I lie I lie" & then when he finds it he says "peek a boo I lie" — just fancy how he would run with joy to kiss & hug you if you came in? He is so over whelmingly lovely to Grandma that I dont know what to do about it. He is as enthusiastic as his brother! Are you tired of hearing about him?
