I am rejoiced to think you are settled & so comfortably - it is nice to think you are so near the Estés - Tell them I am glad you are next door to them now that I cannot be myself. Is'nt it strange how things come about.

I am of course in a Xmas vortex, only I began little by little & am not as much rushed as sometimes. I only go to town every other morning, & do a few things at a time now that baby's coat & cap are done I feel as if I were a woman of leisure They fit beautifully, & he looks cherubic in them. You must send the boys a message about their letters to encourage them, they sometimes feel the one sidedness of it, but I love to have them write to you, & it is such good practice for them too. How enchanted we shall be to see some of your pictures! I love to hear about your clothes so as to fancy how you look — do you wear my brown cloth? I have a rough plaid, & dark blue coat with vest, & mushy brown velvet turban with a bow & quill up the back. Your E.
