Poor child - I am so sorry you feel you want to come home, because if you cant - it is hard. I hope when you come to be settled more & things are easier, you will be more glad to be there.  I am glad you are determined to live well, & not economize in that way.
I think a new hair pin is a very nice fork, much better than none! Surely you do not intend to cook any more!
My servants are angelic. They are to have muffs & things & a fine Xmas.  What fun your box will be!  I write you mean letters some times but Lots of them.
