Bouguereau and his teaching and Henry is only every other month— Constant has not yet come to the Passage and Lefebvre is So over-worked since Boulanger's death that he has very little time to give. I should like to go to either Lasar's or Carlorossi's where Dagnan-Bouveret teaches they are so near by, but dont like to shake free from Julian's— Think maybe I shall end by going to the Passage for a month and then find it is too far away and try to part amicably. Did I tell you that 30 or 40 of Julian's best men pupils have gone over to Harrisson. will use all his immense power to put him down. It is abominable that a man like Julian should have the power he has, in the Salon. Louise Kinsella told me yesterday that Mr Chanler - (Mr Amelie Rives) was an old friend of the Harrison's and that when she came here she would probably study under him. Would she get up a "Cours" for herself - I wonder!
Alfred Stevens and Gervex are doing a Panorama - The last Century in France— It is a great design and is to contain all the distinguished people who have lived in this time from May Antoinette to Sara Bernhardt and Victor Hugo - who is the last figure and and [[sic]] is to stand alone in plain bourgeoise costume at the end— Eash [[Each]] part is to be painted in the style of the period and only the last part to be painted in the manner of the present day—
