I was shocked to hear of Mr Rhineharts death thogh [[though]] I had no personal feeling about him. Cousin J's letter is intensely interesting - but I'm awfully Sorry "you all" cant go there. It would have been such a nice finish for the summer. I'm going by myself to London on Monday night the 14" [[=14th]] to a boarding house on Russell Square. Mrs Gilder & children will come along in a few days. I have not done much here but shops. I shall come home with all my winter clothes - nearly - done. It is a temptation as the things go right on with almost no alteration - and no end of Golborning and money are saved.
