Nelle is going to stop up the chinks in the window today - and we are going to stop up the fire place so that all the heat wont go up the chimney - It is so much cheaper here than any thing Aunt Sarah and C. ever heard of for this kind of a place - that we are going to be patient - It is very attractive on the other side - in the little streets - Here it is broad and high - like New York only bigger and grey - & new- all the houses alike and we are really very far away from things- all but the new Julian's - the distances are great - enormous wide streets and 'Place's which we have to traverse - Such beautiful soft distances, with big statues looming up in front. The Seine is lovely - always. The Austins are awfully nice to us and think we are fun I am sure -
