If there are such wonderful advantages in Paris I do not see that you have absorbed them so far this season. Maybe it is because I do not know much, but I was much disappointed when your last letter told of uncertainty as to lessons etc. Perhaps if Lazar comes to criticize your picture it will be worth while. The time is getting so short while the classes will be open. I am anxious enough for you to have a picture in the Salon, but I feel as if even that ought not to interfere with what you stayed in Paris for. I suppose if you were sitting here I would soon see it all as you do, but now I dont. Surely May is losing much time, but it is of little use for me to stir you up talking this way.
