I have so much to write that I have forgotten Uncle Sam Patton. He has been very dangerously ill. Typhoid fever. They had an awful time - finally had a nurse. He came in last Tuesday to visit at Mrs Massey's - to get away from the works - he is very weak, but looks as if he would be all right. Poor Aunt Sophie looks as ill as he. I hope now they will rest a little. Nellie is so worn out, & has done so bravely. I felt so sorry for her. The boys are so hopelessly bad. Louis is another Rob. They are insufferable. George looks badly
I think the whole family is in a poor way - little Cecil is sweet, more like George. Colwell will be nice I think - he is clever & attractive. Alice Janvier is well, she is a marvel. Lillie Craige is still very low, but they hope now. Blood poisoning, it has been terrible. There is no end to this letter. Your own Sister.
