in Phila—  It was a small one lying on a dark blue divan or something—  It hardly showed in the Salon and we thought it very refined and nice - for a nude - It is'nt his line and there is no sense in his doing them  
He only did it as an apology for not having his real picture finished—  He has been working all winter at Grey and I hear is in Paris now—  You need'nt pity his mother—  He is a very good boy - and there is nothing fast about him—  The American's all seem like holy angels—  They look so good next to the Frenchmen - who look horrid even if by any possibility they are not—  
Thursday——
Here is Louise's picture - It

is'nt a spec like her and in the portrait the cloack [[cloak]] is much more graceful and in the portrait shows farther down - with the head nearer the top—    I feel really pleased with it today - so you may know it is'nt very bad - Kate Kinsella saw it this morning and liked it. You never saw anything except Warren Burnham when he was three years old so heavenly fair and golden as she is - She has beautiful teeth too and one big dimple when she smiles—  
Am going to write to Annie now - so wont ramble on any longer to you——
