Dear Aunt Eliza —

I found a letter this morning under my door. That is two and had one the other day— Sorry for Franklin E's fuss with the Landells if it means you are to lose her— What a comfort that Lillie Craige and Alice Janvier are getting well. I have been so anxious about them— I hope you are being very careful not to say anything about M. Julian's compliments - I'm afraid I ought'nt to have told you so much. He would be mad at me if I was'nt going to his cours but he knows I am coming—
