of Miss Trotter—  Lots of other students were there - and it is very good - a perfect likeness and the face beautifully painted It is small full length - the face harsly [[hardly]] larger than our minatures [[miniatures]] at home - but she is in a hideous out-door green costume - quite out of character - and he has stuck the foot out in a ridiculous way - she having a very small one - they ought both to have known better - but Shorty always commits some error of taste—  

Last Sunday afternoon we went to the rue de Berri to here [[hear]] the great M. Bercier about whom Papa used to be so enthusiastic—  He is a very interesting
