Dear Uncle Will -
You must have time enough to write to me. I believe you dont want to. I wish you had too paid attention to all I wrote you about that two months studio rent and (illegible)etc. Its all in a mix now in my head, and I dont know how much of that $500 you sulk over was really mine or whether you paid yourself the $85 I owed you or anything. I know you "paid attention" but you have never mentioned it. 
I am very anxious now to know
that Margot she was not getting on. If you could go to see her some time perhaps you could find out. I dont think the stairs would be a[[n strikethough]]very great objection now. It is only the third story and one short flight more and no one but very old people would mind it and the light is sufficient. It is alltogether ideal in shape its (illegible) I believe it is heated by a stove but I am so used now to that kind of trial that I wouldnt mind any of this for the sake of having that front window. A top flight is really a very great disadvantage for portrait painters as it wakes people
