portrait of an old lady by a man named Bachet—  It is mentioned in The Figaro which I am going to send you—  There was a violent hail and thunder storm on Vernissage  happened while I was out collecting Benj Wight and it came in and flooded two rooms - they bored holes in the floor and let the water out—   No pictures hurt—  
The fête is going to be magnificent—  They had a good deal of illumination last night even—  We went out with the Esté's and saw it—
