Its like the Van Ingens in Washington here as to furniture and house decoration only not quite so sumptuous—
You dont know my tea-gown just wait until you see it  its made of my grey cassimere and is just too utter—
Mr Jebb will probably be elected Regis Professor of Greek here on Saturday - Mrs Jebb is here too but I hav'nt seen her yet  she is ill

be quiet the first night—  
She told me not to dress for dinner so I wore my tea gown and looked swell - It is perfect - and went on easily. Maud had on a sort of pinkish one - not half so pretty as mine—
The journey—   These Irish people turned out to be very kind and befriended me - I was with them on the boat—  Passage smooth, and the boat extremely nice—  Comfortable sofa berth to lie on - up to time every minute  Had to leave my Irish friends at New Haven & had no trouble looking after
