My work in the afternoons last week was a grand success and I shall probably send it to some exhibitions next spring.

It was a problem from a painters standpoint that was fact of interest, the atmosphere was splendid and the result of distance the various planes in my work were noticably right.  The figure was all in shadow silhouetted against a gray floor with three students in the background, you see it was extraordinarally original in composition.  Colarsasi bring but each visitor in to see it

I called today on Drake Sisters friend.  Could not see him, he has been overcome by the heat of yesterday his sister has friends with her they are quiet worried
