agent here is Felix Weil.

I have written to London to look the firm of Manson, Swan, and Morgan up. The place is said to ship much stuff to the Colonies -

In about a month I shall cross the Channel if things look well, and put through a sale?
In the meantime half a day will be spent in painting [[erased]] meissoniers [[erased]] Messoniers. And about Xmas time I shall cross over, if everything looks straight.

This last event makes me feel that something is doing in the art world - and naturally I am encouraged- Don't think that for a moment [strikethrough] that [strikethrough] I shall not try to steer wisely my work into this man's hands- It gives a man a feeling of pleasure to think that - good honest work can succeed - I shall write you soon regarding the fumigating [?]. Am well, love to you and all,

William
